Ice Storm

A few shots taken the other morning after our ice storm.

Mother nature can wield her power swiftly, leaving her broken.

And sometimes slowly reminds us of her resolve.

Sometimes its a challenge to just keep it simple. I was thinking of negative space while shooting these.

The Right Moment

Sometimes on a cloudy fall day with dark skies, you get the sun poking through just at the right moment. You just have to be there to catch it.

Tractor shot from the road with 200mm so as not to trespass :)

Vanishing Point

This year at the Welland Camera Club there is a new competition called the "Directors Challenge". The challenge is to make some images that fit four chosen categories very specifically. The first category is vanishing point. Its always nice to have something to give you a little creative push. Here's what I came up with.
Thanks to my nephew Brandon for helping me with the first image. It is one exposure,  two minutes long (ND filter) with Brandon walking and stopping for different time intervals.
